Web browser compatibility

Atrise Everyfind is an JavaScript-based search engine, so any modern and old popular browsers are supported on Windows, Linux, Unix, MacOS. We tested Everyfind on these web browsers:

• Internet Explorer 5.5+;
• Netscape Communicator 4+;
• Mozilla Firefox 1+;
• Opera 7+.

The generated search result pages are valid XHTML and CSS files.

The generated search engine is fully compatible with IE on Windows XP SP2 local filesystem JavaScript security policy.

File format compatibility

Atrise Everyfind uses internal file format extract engine and two industry standard text extract API:

• Microsoft Office 2003 Conversion API;
• IFilter text extract API.

So it supports almost any file format. Extended set of file formats is supported on Enterprise Edition.

Document encoding compatibility

Atrise Everyfind supports to index text and SGML/HTML/XML files in ASCII, system locale 8-bit encoding and UTF-8.
